چکیده
Abstract This study aimed to determine the possible control of selected pathogenic and competitive fungi A. bisporus by three nanosilver clay composites establish effective concentrations for inhibiting pathogens. Nanosilver (AgNPs) (zeolite, montmorillonite, palygorskite) were synthesized a microwave‐assisted surface functionalization technique, various techniques characterized products. Zeolite montmorillonite showed uniformly distributed spherical AgNPs with an average size 3.33 nm 2.85 nm, respectively, whereas palygorskite presented agglomerated unevenly AgNPs. The influence on 9 fungi, including strains T. aggressivum f. aggressivum, L. fungicola, C. dendroides , Mycogone sp., was determined in vitro at different concentrations. At 10 mg/mL, AgNP‐zeolite AgNP‐montmorillonite inhibited 8 out pathogens, while AgNP‐palygorskite only 1 pathogen. tested against revealed no adverse effects mycelial growth any tested. confirms that have antifungal properties can be used as alternative fungicides mushroom pathogens without affecting growth. However, further investigation is required unravel mechanism selective activity observed this study.

Antifungal Properties of Plants Used in Brazilian Traditional Medicine against Clinically Relevant Fungal Pathogens
Antifungal properties of extracts from eight Brazilian plants traditionally used in popular Brazilian medicine were tested against five clinically relevant Candida species, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Sporothrix schenckii. Results demonstrate that almost all extracts exhibited antifungal activity, at least against one of the microorganisms tested. The ethanolic extract from the leaves of Schin...
متن کاملAntifungal properties of Agapanthus africanus L. extracts against plant pathogens
Crude extracts of various Agapanthus africanus plant parts were screened in vitro against eight economically important plant pathogenic fungi. Radial mycelial growth was inhibited significantly (Po0.05) in five test organisms, while Pythium ultimum, and to a lesser extent Fusarium oxysporum and Alternaria alternata, showed a degree of tolerance. Subsequently, these crude extracts were tested in...
متن کاملEmerging Threats in Antifungal-Resistant Fungal Pathogens
The use of antifungal drugs in the therapy of fungal diseases can lead to the development of antifungal resistance. Resistance has been described for virtually all antifungal agents in diverse pathogens, including Candida and Aspergillus species. The majority of resistance mechanisms have also been elucidated at the molecular level in these pathogens. Drug resistance genes and genome mutations ...
متن کاملInnate Defense against Fungal Pathogens.
Human fungal infections have been on the rise in recent years and proved increasingly difficult to treat as a result of the lack of diagnostics, effective antifungal therapies, and vaccines. Most pathogenic fungi do not cause disease unless there is a disturbance in immune homeostasis, which can be caused by modern medical interventions, disease-induced immunosuppression, and naturally occurrin...
متن کاملA Review of Tropical Plants with Antifungal Activities against Plant Fungal Pathogens
Plant fungal pathogens are frequently found as one of limiting factors for crop production. More than 10,000 species of fungi can cause disease in plants. To control the diseases, many farmers are still rely on the use of chemical fungicides, however most synthetic fungicides can cause acute toxicity, and some cause chronic toxicity as well. Thus, an appropriate technological improvement toward...
